Historique et \u00e9volution :<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>
La chapelle Notre-Dame de la Paix, dont la construction est ant\u00e9rieure \u00e0 1702, a \u00e9t\u00e9 restaur\u00e9e en 1718 \u00e0 la suite des guerres de Louis XIV. Cependant, il convient d\u2019indiquer que le linteau de la porte indique comme date 1778. Du point de vue architectural, il s\u2019agit d\u2019un \u00e9difice rectangulaire aux murs cr\u00e9pis.<\/p>
Construite sur des terres appartenant au seigneur de Blaugies depuis 1397, elle est b\u00e2tie sur un monticule, dans le bois de la Tassonni\u00e8re, au croisement de Blaugies et de Petit-Dour. Par ailleurs, il convient d\u2019indiquer que le bois fut vendu en 1900 \u00e0 la commue de Dour. Cependant, il fut convenu que la chapelle, la plate-forme et le chemin qui y donne acc\u00e8s soient conserv\u00e9s \u00e0 perp\u00e9tuit\u00e9.<\/p>
Tous les 15 ao\u00fbt s\u2019y d\u00e9roulait une procession, dont les origines remontent \u00e0 1741-1743, qui partait de l\u2019\u00e9glise paroissiale Saint-Aubin de Blaugies. En 1849, une procession particuli\u00e8re est organis\u00e9e afin de faire cesser le chol\u00e9ra qui s\u00e9vissait dans tout le Borinage. Par ailleurs, il convient d\u2019indiquer qu\u2019en raison des nombreuses d\u00e9gradations, plus aucune procession n\u2019a eu lieu depuis une dizaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es.<\/p>
En 1928, un p\u00e9ristyle sera construit. Ce dernier permettra \u00e0 un plus grand nombre de fid\u00e8les d\u2019assister aux manifestations religieuses.<\/p>
En 1943, seront \u00e9rig\u00e9es quinze petites chapelles du Rosaire autour de l\u2019enceinte agrandie afin de la d\u00e9corer. C\u2019est au cours de la m\u00eame ann\u00e9e qu\u2019un chemin de terre fut cr\u00e9\u00e9 afin d\u2019accueillir la foule de p\u00e8lerins.<\/p>
Actuellement, cette chapelle est quasi d\u00e9truite et sa statue est conserv\u00e9e dans l\u2019\u00e9glise paroissiale Saint-Aubin de Blaugies.<\/p>
