Historique et \u00e9volution :<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>
Situ\u00e9 sur une motte et entour\u00e9 d\u2019un foss\u00e9, le ch\u00e2teau de Dour est constitu\u00e9 de plusieurs d\u00e9pendances et entour\u00e9 d\u2019une enceinte. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9difi\u00e9 \u00e0 une date ind\u00e9termin\u00e9e. Toutefois, \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 qu\u2019il est signal\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois en 1410, on peut supposer qu\u2019il a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit entre le XIe et le XVe si\u00e8cles. Par la suite, il n\u2019est pas mentionn\u00e9 dans la liste des \u00ab\u00a0chasteaulx en Haynnau\u00a0\u00bb de 1568 si bien que l\u2019on peut supposer qu\u2019il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9truit en 1554 lors des guerres d\u2019Henri II.<\/p>
En 1601, il n\u2019appara\u00eet plus que sous la mention de maison entour\u00e9e d\u2019eau avant de devenir un ch\u00e2teau de plaisance au d\u00e9but du XVIIIe si\u00e8cle. Ainsi, il est am\u00e9nag\u00e9 par le nouveau propri\u00e9taire de la seigneurie, Nicolas-Joseph Poisson, de 1725 \u00e0 1728. Il \u00e9tait situ\u00e9 \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 d\u2019un petit bois, le long de la rue et du ruisseau Delval, \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 d\u2019un \u00e9tang et d\u2019une fontaine. On y retrouvait aussi un parc et une \u00e9table. Jean-Jacques-Joseph de Royer se l\u2019approprie en 1789 et d\u00e9cide d\u2019acheter plusieurs lopins de terre afin d\u2019\u00e9tendre son parc jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la Grand-Rue et de mettre \u00e0 la disposition des visiteurs une nouvelle entr\u00e9e.<\/p>
En 1859, le ch\u00e2teau est en partie d\u00e9moli. Sept ans plus tard, la rue du Parc et la rue A l\u2019Eau divisent la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 bient\u00f4t lotie. Par la suite, en 1877, Emile de Royer vend le ch\u00e2teau \u00e0 Camille Defrise et Dominique Dupont.<\/p>
D\u00e9labr\u00e9 et endommag\u00e9 par les travaux miniers, le b\u00e2timent sert de maison d\u2019habitation au pasteur avant d\u2019\u00eatre ras\u00e9 totalement en 1883.<\/p>
Il ne reste aujourd\u2019hui que le parc qui est devenu le parc communal de Dour.<\/p>
