Historique et \u00e9volution :<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>
Fond\u00e9e le 10 avril 1869, la chorale \u00ab\u00a0La Jeune Garde\u00a0\u00bb a, au d\u00e9part, comme principaux chanteurs des ouvriers et des cordiers de la Corderie Harmegnies de Dour. Tr\u00e8s vite, elle conna\u00eet du succ\u00e8s et elle organise des concerts et des spectacles. L\u2019esprit de solidarit\u00e9 \u00e9tant essentiel au sein de cette chorale, le comit\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9poque d\u00e9cide de cr\u00e9er au sein de celle-ci une mutuelle r\u00e9serv\u00e9e aux membres de la chorale. Ainsi, cette mutuelle fonctionna jusqu\u2019en 1922 et servit de base \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de la Mutuelle Neutre Douroise. Dans ce contexte, il convient d\u2019indiquer que l\u2019endroit dans lequel les membres se r\u00e9unissaient pour r\u00e9p\u00e9ter nous est inconnu.<\/p>
Le 9 novembre 1910, la chorale prend le titre de \u00ab\u00a0Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Royale\u00a0\u00bb. Par la suite, elle fut aussi agr\u00e9\u00e9e par l\u2019Institut Provincial d\u2019Education et Loisirs dans le cadre des encouragements provinciaux aux Soci\u00e9t\u00e9s musicales et affili\u00e9e \u00e0 la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration Musicale de Belgique.<\/p>
Au cours de son existence, elle a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 un grand nombre de concerts et de concours notamment en collaboration avec d\u2019autres soci\u00e9t\u00e9s musicales.<\/p>
Actuellement, la Royale Jeune Garde de Dour n\u2019existe plus.<\/p>
