Historique et \u00e9volution :<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Fond\u00e9e en octobre 1898 et situ\u00e9e au chemin d\u2019Offignies actuellement nomm\u00e9 la rue d\u2019Offignies, la Royale Fanfare de Dour participe \u00e0 un grand nombre de concours si bien qu\u2019elle remporte de nombreux prix. Toutefois, le d\u00e9but de la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale provoqua l\u2019interruption des r\u00e9p\u00e9titions et des r\u00e9unions du comit\u00e9 si bien qu\u2019en 1918, la fanfare se remit directement au travail afin de pouvoir participer \u00e0 d\u2019autres concours.<\/p>

De 1929 \u00e0 1939, elle participa \u00e0 plusieurs tournois provinciaux qui lui valurent beaucoup de succ\u00e8s. Apr\u00e8s la Deuxi\u00e8me Guerre mondiale, le comit\u00e9 subit un remaniement ce qui permit \u00e0 la fanfare de prendre un nouvel essor. Ainsi, elle participa \u00e0 d\u2019autres concerts, concours, tournois et repr\u00e9sentations.<\/p>
