Historique et \u00e9volution :<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>
Situ\u00e9 en bas de la rue du Mouligneau, pr\u00e8s du bois de Saint-Ghislain et de la ferme de Moranfayt, le moulin \u00e0 eau est construit \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la maison du meunier. En effet, en 1424, l\u2019abbaye de Saint-Ghislain fait l\u2019acquisition de ce moulin. Par la suite, \u00e0 une date ind\u00e9termin\u00e9e, il est c\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 un particulier. En 1743, il appartient \u00e0 un habitant de Dour qui continue \u00e0 payer une rente \u00e0 l\u2019abbaye de Saint-Ghislain afin de pouvoir jouir de l\u2019usage du moulin.<\/p>
En 1857, le moulin est mis en vente. Ainsi, Fran\u00e7ois Mollet, en fait l\u2019acquisition et reconstruit de nouvelles installations. En 1861, il le transforme \u00e0 nouveau en y installant notamment une machine \u00e0 vapeur destin\u00e9e \u00e0 suppl\u00e9er la force hydraulique de plus en plus insuffisante et irr\u00e9guli\u00e8re. En 1865, les b\u00e2timents sont de nouveau totalement reconstruits. Par apr\u00e8s, en 1898, \u00e0 la suite d\u2019une succession, un rentier d\u2019Ath et un meunier de Dour en deviennent co-propri\u00e9taire. Toutefois, Jean-Baptiste Mollet-Gobert devient le seul propri\u00e9taire du moulin en 1902.<\/p>
En 1903, le moulin est transform\u00e9 en brasserie au sein de laquelle est toujours utilis\u00e9, en 1917, le moteur hydraulique pour actionner les appareils de la brasserie. Par ailleurs, les installations hydrauliques sont aussi utilis\u00e9es pour la meunerie. Elles sont d\u00e9saffect\u00e9es en 1944. L\u2019\u00e9tang est alors remblay\u00e9 si bien que les meules du moulin s\u2019y trouvent enfouies.<\/p>
