Historique et \u00e9volution :<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>
Situ\u00e9 \u00e0 la rue du Moulin Mollet, \u00e0 mi-chemin entre la rue de Boussu et la rue d\u2019Alexandre Patte, le moulin est construit vers 1800. Il est alors entre les mains de meuniers de Dour jusqu\u2019\u00e0 sa vente, le 21 janvier 1836, \u00e0 Fran\u00e7ois Mollet, n\u00e9gociant \u00e0 Dour et propri\u00e9taire \u00e9galement du Moulin du Moulineau. Les installations sont tr\u00e8s importantes. Le moulin est construit en ma\u00e7onnerie, avec deux tournants, harnats et d\u00e9pendances. En d\u00e9cembre 1852, Fran\u00e7ois Mollet demande l\u2019autorisation de construire un moulin \u00e0 farine m\u00fb par la vapeur. Cette autorisation lui est accord\u00e9e en juillet 1854 si bien que le moulin \u00e0 vent est d\u00e9saffect\u00e9. En 1859, il est converti en b\u00e2timent rural, en 1865, en magasin et en 1869, il est d\u00e9moli. Le moulin \u00e0 vapeur est alors agrandi.<\/p>
En 1884 et en 1898, les installations sont \u00e0 nouveau agrandies. En 1900, une nouvelle machine \u00e0 vapeur est install\u00e9e. En 1921-1922, suite au d\u00e9c\u00e8s du propri\u00e9taire, le moulin est mis en vente. Ainsi, il est rachet\u00e9 par un agent de P\u00e2turages, un comptable d\u2019Elouges et un repr\u00e9sentant des commerces de Dour. En 1948, le moulin est c\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 Edouard Tr\u00e9mont. En 1972, les installations qui ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 modifi\u00e9es \u00e0 plusieurs reprises, servent d\u2019entrep\u00f4ts et de silos.<\/p>
Par ailleurs, il est int\u00e9ressant de constater que c\u2019est \u00e9galement \u00e0 cet endroit qu\u2019existait dans la premi\u00e8re moiti\u00e9 du XXe si\u00e8cle, un bassin de natation. Celui-ci \u00e9tait situ\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019emplacement d\u2019un ancien bassin de d\u00e9cantation rempli de boue. Ainsi, ce bassin fut nettoy\u00e9 et am\u00e9nag\u00e9 par des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles qui construisirent \u00e9galement des cabines. L\u2019administration communale de Dour, quant \u00e0 elle, accorda l\u2019eau gratuitement pendant la premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e et c\u2019est le 1^{er<\/sup> mai 1926 que l\u2019ouverture de la piscine eut lieu. Dans ce contexte, il est int\u00e9ressant de noter que celle-ci comprenait \u00e0 la fois un grand bassin et un petit et qu\u2019elle fonctionna jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la Deuxi\u00e8me Guerre mondiale.
