Historique et \u00e9volution :<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>
La \u00ab\u00a0maladrerie\u00a0\u00bb de Dour appel\u00e9e aussi \u00ab\u00a0l\u00e9proserie\u00a0\u00bb \u00e9tait situ\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019angle m\u00e9ridional form\u00e9 par la Haute Voye de Mons et le Chemin des Aimeries, actuellement appel\u00e9 rue d\u2019Aimeries, \u00e0 l\u2019extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 de la seigneurie de Dour. Ainsi, il s\u2019agissait de l\u2019endroit le plus \u00e9cart\u00e9 de la localit\u00e9. Dans ce contexte, il est int\u00e9ressant de constater que cette l\u00e9proserie fut construite avec l\u2019aide des donations effectu\u00e9es en faveur de ces malades ou de l\u2019entretien des ladreries. Il \u00e9tait \u00e9galement d\u2019usage de faire construire des cabanes sur le terrain. Chaque cabane \u00e9tait attribu\u00e9e \u00e0 un malade. \u00c0 sa mort, l\u2019ensemble des affaires qu\u2019il poss\u00e9dait et la cabane \u00e9taient br\u00fbl\u00e9s.<\/p>
Par ailleurs, il convient d\u2019indiquer que cette maladrerie fut saisie \u00e0 la R\u00e9volution Fran\u00e7aise.<\/p>
