En 1879, le quartier de Plantis demande la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019une \u00e9cole afin de pallier \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9loignement g\u00e9ographique des autres \u00e9coles. Ainsi, le conseil communal d\u00e9cida de r\u00e9pondre favorablement \u00e0 cette demande en cr\u00e9ant l\u2019\u00e9cole de Moranfayt, appel\u00e9e aussi Ecole du Centre-Est, qui \u00e9tait une \u00e9cole primaire de gar\u00e7ons et une gardienne mixte. Dans ce contexte, cette \u00e9cole sera construite d\u00e8s 1880 \u00e0 l\u2019actuelle rue du Ch\u00eane Br\u00fbl\u00e9. En 1882, y interviendra l\u2019autorisation d\u2019y ouvrir une \u00e9cole pour filles.<\/p>
Aujourd\u2019hui, cette \u00e9cole existe toujours. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un \u00e9tablissement scolaire maternelle et primaire d\u2019immersion en anglais.
