Historique et \u00e9volution :<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>
Le puits n\u00b01 de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Anonyme des Charbonnages de la Grande Machine \u00e0 feux de Dour\u00a0dite \u00ab\u00a0La Grande Machine \u00e0 feux\u00a0\u00bb se situait derri\u00e8re la rue Camille Moury, entre la Gare et le Petit-Hainin, \u00e0 l\u2019emplacement actuel des installations de Dour-Sport. Il \u00e9tait install\u00e9 enti\u00e8rement sur la commune de Dour. Il comprend en se dirigeant du nord au sud, les couches de houilles dites\u00a0: les Ratons, Angleuses, Lucquet, Abbaye, Grands Andrieux, Bertiaux, Plate Veine ainsi que toutes les couches interm\u00e9diaires.<\/p>
Dans ce contexte, des fours \u00e0 coke y sont annex\u00e9s durant le dernier quart du XIXe si\u00e8cle. Ils \u00e9taient situ\u00e9s le long du chemin-de-fer Saint-Ghislain-Qui\u00e9vrain. Ces derniers venaient compl\u00e9ter les installations des puits. Par ailleurs, il est int\u00e9ressant d\u2019y indiquer qu\u2019en 1891 un coup de grisou eut lieu et fit vingt et un morts.<\/p>
Ce puits fut ferm\u00e9 le 30 novembre 1954. Actuellement, le site est occup\u00e9 par le club d\u2019athl\u00e9tisme Dour-Sport. Par ailleurs, on y retrouve \u00e9galement encore quelques vestiges miniers qui sont maintenant utilis\u00e9s par une entreprise de construction.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
