Historique et \u00e9volution :<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>
Situ\u00e9 dans les locaux de l\u2019ancienne administration communale d\u2019Elouges, \u00e0 la rue du Commerce \u00e0 Elouges, ce mus\u00e9e porte le nom de son fondateur, Georges Mulpas, ancien bourgmestre d\u2019Elouges. Ainsi, ce dernier r\u00e9colta presqu\u2019enti\u00e8rement seul l\u2019ensemble des pi\u00e8ces constituant ce mus\u00e9e. En effet, l\u2019objectif de ce mus\u00e9e \u00e9tait de montrer \u00e0 tout visiteur une r\u00e9trospective de la vie d\u2019autrefois. Dans ce contexte, il ouvrit ses portes le 26 mai 1968. Il comportait de nombreuses sections qui avaient comme point commun qu\u2019elles exposaient toutes des produits locaux et qu\u2019elles illustraient, au travers des si\u00e8cles, le travail des hommes dans cette r\u00e9gion. Y \u00e9tait donc abord\u00e9 \u00e9galement l\u2019aspect \u00e9conomique et social d\u2019Elouges et la vie de la population. En effet, tout visiteur, dans le mus\u00e9e, \u00e9tait en contact avec des documents, des iconographies, des \u0153uvres d\u2019art et de nombreux objets ayant servi au cours des XVIIIe et XIXe si\u00e8cles mais aussi au d\u00e9but du XXe si\u00e8cle.<\/p>
