Par la suite, il fut suivi par d\u2019autres clercs. Ainsi, la situation des clercs \u00e9tait particuli\u00e8re dans le sens o\u00f9 ils devaient enseigner dans un b\u00e2timent qu\u2019ils louaient \u00e0 leurs propres frais. Cela explique notamment pourquoi de nombreux clercs d\u00e9cidaient d\u2019enseigner dans leur propre maison. Ainsi, en ce qui concerne celle d\u2019Elouges, elle \u00e9tait situ\u00e9e \u00e0 la rue du Commerce. Toutefois, il convient d\u2019indiquer que cette maison \u00e9tant insalubre, les autorit\u00e9s communales tent\u00e8rent de rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 cette situation. Dans ce contexte, elles d\u00e9cid\u00e8rent, en 1783, de cr\u00e9er une \u00e9cole \u00e0 destination des filles et des gar\u00e7ons. Malheureusement, les autorit\u00e9s communales se heurt\u00e8rent au refus des habitants qui justifi\u00e8rent ce dernier par le fait que dans les localit\u00e9s voisines, les clercs fournissaient des locaux d\u00e9cents \u00e0 leurs frais. Face \u00e0 ce refus, la situation fut fig\u00e9e si bien que les \u00e9l\u00e8ves continu\u00e8rent \u00e0 suivre les cours dans la maison insalubre du clerc.<\/p><p>Ainsi, il est int\u00e9ressant de constater que cette \u00e9cole se maintint jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tablissement du r\u00e9gime fran\u00e7ais.<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong><u>Ligne du temps\u00a0:
