Historique et \u00e9volution :<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>
Le 6 mai 1840, un meunier de Wih\u00e9ries, Xavier Libiez introduit une demande d\u2019autorisation de construire un moulin sur le ruisseau qui traverse sa propri\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 Wih\u00e9ries[1]<\/a>. Il obtient l\u2019autorisation le 12 mars 1842. Le 8 juin 1843, il dote son moulin d\u2019une machine \u00e0 vapeur afin de pallier aux p\u00e9riodes de s\u00e9cheresse. En 1845, les installations sont en ordre de marche si bien que le moulin est agrandi en 1849. Par la suite, en 1864, le moulin est mis en vente par les h\u00e9ritiers de Libiez. En 1868, le moulin devient la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 du brasseur Parmentier. En 1869, il est d\u00e9moli partiellement avant d\u2019\u00eatre transform\u00e9 en remise en 1897 sous l\u2019appellation \u00ab Moulin \u00e0 broi\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>
[1]<\/a> Pour ce qui est de sa localisation, il faut souligner que celle-ci ne peut pas \u00eatre \u00e9tablie avec certitude. Toutefois, certaines sources indiquent que, sur les plans, le moulin \u00e9tait localis\u00e9 sur la place de l\u2019Eglise, une partie de la rue de l\u2019Eglise et la rue Nacfer. En effet, le cours d\u2019eau qui alimente le moulin coupait ces points g\u00e9ographiques.<\/p>
