Historique et \u00e9volution :<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>
N\u00e9e de l\u2019arriv\u00e9e de la ligne internationale Dour-Roisin-Autreppe-Bavay, la gare de Wih\u00e9ries, situ\u00e9e \u00e0 la rue de la gare de Wih\u00e9ries \u00e0 Elouges, \u00e9tait d\u2019abord \u00e9quip\u00e9e d\u2019un b\u00e2timent en bois provisoire avant de devenir une halte digne de ce nom. En effet, elle est r\u00e9pertori\u00e9e en tant que halte en 1906. Ainsi, situ\u00e9e \u00e0 cheval sur les villages d\u2019Elouges et de Wih\u00e9ries, elle permet un raccordement le plus droit possible vers les Haut-Pays gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la construction de deux ponts.<\/p>
Du point de vue architectural, elle comportait un b\u00e2timent \u00e0 destination des voyageurs, mais aussi un puit pour le chef de gare, un hangar \u00e0 marchandises, une rampe \u00e0 chargement et une cour. En 1913, l\u2019activit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique \u00e9tant importante \u00e0 Dour, il fut d\u00e9cid\u00e9 qu\u2019une seconde voie dans la cour aux marchandises serait construite. Cette nouvelle ligne de 60 cm d\u2019\u00e9cartement portait le nom de son cr\u00e9ateur \u00ab\u00a0Decauville\u00a0\u00bb. De cette mani\u00e8re, la gare de Wih\u00e9ries g\u00e9rait non seulement les trains quotidiens de voyageurs mais aussi le trafic de marchandises.<\/p>
Par ailleurs en 1936, elle dispara\u00eet des annales de la SNCB alors que les trains continuent de s\u2019y arr\u00eater. De nos jours, le quartier de la gare reste inchang\u00e9 m\u00eame si toute activit\u00e9 y a cess\u00e9. En effet, la ligne est ferm\u00e9e en 1960, et le b\u00e2timent des recettes a \u00e9t\u00e9 vendu et r\u00e9nov\u00e9. Ainsi, le ravel 98 A y passe.<\/p>
